Vučević, who visited the works together with Minister of Construction, Transport and Infrastructure Goran Vesić, emphasised that the rehabilitation of this road towards Futog is of great importance for the citizens of Novi Sad and the safety of road users.
Vesić stated that the length of this section is 3.2 kilometres, and that the value of this project is approximately RSD 260 million, and when the streets built last year are added, the total value is about RSD 400 million.
The Minister pointed out that investment is also planned in the section at the entrance to Novi Sad from the highway, but also in the design of the extension of the Belgrade-Novi Sad highway for one more lane on each side.
Today, Vučević visited together with Vesić the final works on a pool at the Sports Complex in Futog, noting that approximately €16 million were invested in that project.
This is a big thing for the western part of Novi Sad, he pointed out and recalled that this swimming pool complex was planned many years ago, but there was not enough will and money to bring the project to an end.
Over time, we grew stronger, brought in new investments and managed to finance such projects in parts of the city that were neglected, and they deserve the same attention as the urban part of the city, the Prime Minister pointed out.
