At a joint press conference with Tajani in Trieste, where the Business Forum of Italian and Serbian businessmen is being held, Vučević said that Serbia is proud because the majority of humanity did not vote for the resolution and expressed the fear that it does not bring anything good, but revives ghosts of the past.
The Prime Minister said that in his conversation with Tajani, he expressed his concern about the situation in Kosovo and Metohija and asked Italy to do everything possible to prevent escalation in the southern Serbian province.
It is high time to form the Community of Serb Municipalities and to stop the usurpation of Serbian property, and above all the terror that is carried out against Serbs, Vučević said.
The Prime Minister expressed the hope that Italy and the other members of the Quinte will be dedicated and effective in this matter and expressed his gratitude to Italy for supporting Serbia on the European path, adding that he expects Italy to be one of the loudest advocates for "completing the European story".
Serbia promotes the position that all countries and peoples in the area of the Western Balkans should be members of the European Union, Vučević pointed out and assessed that many things that seem intractable, using the instruments and integrity of the European Union, will be at least a shade easier to solve and will guarantee the peace that is much needed.
The Prime Minister of Serbia asked Tajani to convey an appeal to Italian Prime Minister Meloni for organising a joint session of the governments of the two countries be held in Belgrade after more than ten years.
He reminded that the last joint session of the governments of Italy and Serbia was held in 2013, and reiterated that the organisation of a joint session of the Council of Ministers of Italy and the government of Serbia would be of great importance.
