Construction of new bridges of great importance for Novi Sad

Prime Minister Miloš Vučević visited today, together with Minister of Construction, Transport and Infrastructure Goran Vesić, the works on two new bridges in Novi Sad, and on that occasion assessed that with their construction, this city will get a new and better dimension.

Vučević pointed out that the fourth bridge in the extension of Europe Boulevard will improve traffic in this city and recalled that the construction of this bridge was foreseen by the Regulatory Plan from 1951, and that, in addition to the road, it will also have a bicycle and pedestrian path.

He added that the future, fifth Novi Sad bridge, which is being built as part of the Fruška Gora Corridor, between the settlements of Sadovi and Kać, will solve the problem of trucks entering the city and thus relieve traffic.

Vesić pointed out that in the city, which has three bridges, the same number will be built in the next few years.

According to him, by October 2026, the Fruška Gora Corridor will be completed and this bridge will be fully operational, and the bridge in the continuation of Europe Boulevard will also be opened by the end of 2026.

The tour of the bridgeworks was also attended by Prime Minister of the Provincial Government Maja Gojković, Mayor of Novi Sad Milan Đurić, Director of "Corridors of Serbia" Aleksandar Antić and Ambassador of the People's Republic of China to Serbia Li Ming.
