Prime Minister Vučević pointed out that the principled position of Azerbaijan in relation to the territorial integrity and sovereignty of Serbia, and regarding Kosovo and Metohija, means a lot to Belgrade.
The Prime Minister told the Ambassador that he expects continued cooperation especially in the field of infrastructure and energy, especially when it comes to green energy, but also in other fields, bearing in mind the potential of the Serbian economy.
When it comes to Azerbaijan's participation in international institutions, Vučević said that Serbia means the country's support in the United Nations, as well as in the Council of Europe.
Ambassador Khasiyev underlined that Serbia is the only country in Europe with which Azerbaijan has established a special, strategic friendship and partnership, and that these foundations are based on good relations between the presidents of the two countries.
The development of bilateral relations, especially economic ones, will be additionally strengthened by the holding of the session of the mixed economic committee, which should be held in Baku this year, Ambassador Khasiyev said.
Prime Minister Vučević invited Azerbaijani companies and enterprises to participate in the specialised World Exhibition EXPO 2027 in Belgrade.
