Archaeological Institute acquires status of institute of national importance

The Serbian government adopted today the Decision by which the Archaeological Institute in Belgrade acquires the status of an institute of national importance, given that it is a top scientific research institution of special national importance for one or more related scientific disciplines.

The government adopted the Conclusion that the construction of several family residential buildings within the residential complex of phase II of the project to build apartments for members of the security forces in Belgrade will be carried out at the location along Mileve Maric Ajnstajn Street, in block 72 in New Belgrade.

Government members adopted the Programme for the fight against human trafficking in the Republic of Serbia for the period 2024-2029, with the Action Plan for the implementation of this programme.

The government adopted the Conclusion on the acceptance of the Plan for responding to the increased number of migrants on the territory of the Republic of Serbia for the year 2024, which continues with the effective system of protection of migrants and asylum seekers.

At the session, decisions were also made on presenting monetary awards for sports results to athlete Aleksandar Komarov, for winning the gold medal at the 2024 European Wrestling Championship in Bucharest, in the amount of €20,000 in dinar equivalent, as well as to his coach Nenad Zivojinovic in the same amount.
