Changes of telecommunications law allow Mobtel’s privatisation

Serbian Minister of Capital Investment Velimir Ilic said that the government has established the Bill on amendments to the Law on telecommunications allowing for the privatisation of mobile operator Mobtel.

Ilic said in a press conference that the government also adopted a Conclusion on setting the principles for a telecommunications strategy.
According to Ilic, the government adopted a Decision on use of funds from current budget reserve, envisioning the allocation of 100 million dinars for flood and landslide relief.
The Minister said that the government decided today to set aside €1 million from the Privatisation Fund for the completion of the Ostruznica bridge.
He said that he informed members of the government today on the situation in the flooded areas in central Serbia and Banat. He pointed out that construction has begun on various sites and that a number of families have been taken care of.
He said that the construction of three flats in Valjevo has been provided by the Serbian Construction Directorate.

Serbian Minister of Labour, Employment and Social Policy Slobodan Lalovic said that the government adopted today a Decree on amendments to the Decree on salary coefficients for public servants. The amendments refer to employees in health services and are in line with the Protocol on the increase of salary coefficients in the health sector, signed on March 24, 2006 by the government and the unions of health employees.
Lalovic said that apart from health services, changes in the salary policy will also be made in the education sector and funds for obligatory social insurance, with the aim of increasing the salary range according to the complexity of work and responsibilities.
