Representatives of the Ministry of the Interior emphasised that the police act with special care on every report by journalists that their safety is threatened and take all measures within their competence in order to identify the perpetrators and process them further.
Representatives of journalistic associations suggested organising joint educational workshops with the aim of prevention of acts of violence against journalists, which would be attended by journalists and representatives of the Ministry of the Interior.
At the meeting, good cooperation was noted between the Ministry of the Interior and journalist associations within the Permanent Working Group for the Safety of Journalists.
