The government of the Republic of Serbia and representatives of the Health and Social Care Employees' Union of Serbia and the Health and Social Care Branch Union "Nezavisnost" reached an Agreement on the improvement of the system of material and labour-legal status of health care sector.

The main points of the Agreement include determining the salaries of health care employees through social dialogue with representative unions, determining other employee benefits in accordance with the provisions of the Special Collective Agreement for health care, and considering other issues that affect the material and labour-legal position of health care employees.
Also, it was agreed to form a working group that will deal with the analysis of the existing normative framework, proposing measures to improve the system, as well as defining deadlines for the implementation of the proposed changes.
With this agreement, the government of Serbia and the trade unions show their commitment to improving the healthcare system and creating better working conditions for employees in this important field. The proposed changes will contribute to raising the quality of health services and improving the working conditions of all health workers.
