Prime Minister Ana Brnabic met today with Special Envoy of the French Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs for the Western Balkans René Troccaz and underlined on this occasion that France is one of the most important partners of our country.
Brnabic assessed that our bilateral relations are at an exceptional level, saying that the European Union remains Serbia's strategic priority and that partnership with the Union is of exceptional importance.
The Prime Minister explained in detail the position of Serbia when it comes to political and economic developments in the region, stressing that connectivity, trust and open cooperation are key to development and economic prosperity.
Regarding our southern province and the dialogue between Belgrade and Pristina, Brnabic said that Serbia insists on preserving peace, stability and security and that it is making extraordinary efforts to reach an agreement through dialogue, stressing that for Serbs and other non-Albanians, unfortunately, there are no basic conditions for normal life.
Troccaz pointed out that our countries are connected by deep friendly ties and shared history and added that France has a sincere desire to help Serbia on its European path.
The Special Envoy congratulated Serbia on being chosen as the host of the EXPO 2027 specialised exposition, noting that the organisation of this prestigious event will bring great visibility and economic and political benefits to our country.
