Prime Minister Ana Brnabic said tonight that the goal of the "Srpska Days in Serbia" event is to further strengthen the unbreakable ties of the Serbian people on both sides of the Drina.
At the ceremonial opening of the 11th "Days of the Srpska in Serbia" event, organised by the Representative Office of Republika Srpska in Serbia, Brnabic stated that, thanks to President of Serbia Aleksandar Vucic, more than €107 million has been invested in projects in Republika Srpska since 2014.
She said that a meeting of the two governments and the Council for Cooperation of the Republic of Serbia and the Republika Srpska was held last month in Banja Luka, and that a Memorandum was signed on the construction of two memorial centers dedicated to the victims of Jasenovac in Donja Gradina and in Belgrade, noting that this important task will to be at the very top of the priorities of future cooperation.
The Prime Minister emphasised that the cooperation between Serbia and Republika Srpska is something natural and logical, as well as that it is based on international law, recalling that the Dayton Agreement provides a legal basis for nurturing special parallel ties with Republika Srpska, while nurturing and developing cooperation with Bosnia and Herzegovina.
Our desire is to build a better-connected region in terms of infrastructure, networked with highways, expressways, modern railways and modern border crossings that will enable easier and faster transport of goods, Brnabic said.
According to her, Serbia's vision is a vision of an Open Balkans where there are no borders for people, goods, capital and services, and where young people connect, and businesses cooperate and become more and more competitive, a Balkans that investors will not shy away from, but will want to come here more and more.
