Explaining the proposals of several laws at the session of the Serbian parliament, the Prime Minister pointed out that after almost four decades, the negative trend in the total number of newborns has stopped.
Speaking about the Bill amending the Law on Financial Assistance to Families with Children, the Prime Minister expressed her satisfaction with the fact that the state's measures have begun to yield results.

The Prime Minister specified that the child's father can exercise these rights after three months of the child's life, for the remaining period up to one year for the first and second child, or up to two years for the third and each subsequent child.
Also, with the amendments to this law, and in accordance with the decision of the Constitutional Court, the status of mothers entrepreneurs is equalised, since the exercise of rights related to leave from work is foreseen for the third and each subsequent child for a period of two years.
