Prime Minister Ana Brnabic chaired today a session of the Council for coordination of activities and measures for the growth of the gross domestic product (GDP), where it was stated that in 2023 Serbia is expected to achieve a 2.5 percent economic growth.

Brnabic pointed out that industry, construction, agriculture and processing industry, which are the key areas for generating economic growth, made great progress in the third quarter of this year.
The Prime Minister said that it is important to continue the trend of economic growth in the third and fourth quarters, pointing out that tourism is equally important for the dynamic of growth.
At the session, progress achieved in the construction industry and the faster issuance of location and building permits was praised, which is of great importance for capital projects and private investments.
Speaking about tourism, Brnabic said that this industry is recording considerable growth, which can primarily be seen by the greater number of foreign tourists, and underlined that this industry has great potential for economic growth.
