Prime Minister Ana Brnabic presided today over a session of the Council for Coordination of Activities and Measures for the Growth of the Gross Domestic Product (GDP), at which it was stated that in the first quarter of this year, the GDP achieved a growth of 0.7 percent, which is better than expected.

The areas which contributed to GDP growth are industry and agriculture, Brnabic pointed out and added that climatic conditions are crucial in the field of agriculture.
The Prime Minister emphasised that Serbia is expected to reach economic growth of 2.5 percent this year.
The Prime Minister pointed out that inflation is slowing down and stagnating and that it is expected to be around 8 percent by the end of the year.
Brnabic pointed out that in order to preserve sustainable economic growth, it is necessary to continue investing in capital projects and highlighted the importance of building a national stadium.
Speaking about tourism, the Prime Minister emphasised that we can directly influence this area and added that Serbia achieves record data, both when it comes to domestic and foreign tourists.
Brnabic underlined the importance of promoting our country and all its sights in the best way possible, in the states whose citizens have expressed interest in visiting Serbia.
