Prime Minister Ana Brnabic held a meeting today with representatives of agricultural associations, where the results achieved to date in all sectors of agriculture, as well as economic indicators in those areas, were analysed.
The meeting was also attended by Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Finance Sinisa Mali and Minister of Agriculture, Forestry and Water Management Jelena Tanaskovic.
Representatives of the following associations – the Initiative for the Survival of Serbian Farmers, Our Milk, Subotica Agricultural Producers, STIG, For the Rescue and Survival of Livestock Farmers of Western Serbia, the Union of Associations of Farmers of Banat and the Milk Producers of Sumadija and Pomoravlje, presented a series of proposals which they deem would bring about the improvement of the position of farmers.
The Prime Minister emphasised that it is very important to take care of domestic producers, who have the support and understanding of their state.
It was agreed that the meeting will be held in the same format next week, when, after the analyses and consultation, a decision will be made on the proposals presented by the farmers today.
