Prime Minister Ana Brnabic received today Ambassador of Japan to Serbia Takahiko Katsumata on a farewell visit, whom she thanked on his personal contribution to the improvement of bilateral and economic relations.
Brnabic expressed her hope that relations will continue to develop in the future in areas of mutual interest and said that Serbia is a country with a lot of potential for investments by Japanese investors.
The Prime Minister noted significant progress in the field of the economy, which is characterised by growing trade and an increasing inflow of Japanese investments.
Brnabic also pointed to new areas for cooperation between Serbia and Japan, such as biotechnology and research projects.
The Prime Minister pointed out that Japan is among the largest bilateral donors of Serbia, which the Serbian people value extremely, especially since these are continuous and extremely important donations.
Ambassador Katsumata expressed his gratitude to Prime Minister Brnabic for the excellent cooperation during his mandate, expressing his belief that the relations between the two countries will continue on an upward trajectory.
Brnabic thanked the Japanese ambassador for his dedicated work during his term in office in Serbia and wished him luck in his further diplomatic career.
