Prime Minister Ana Brnabic talked today with Ambassador of the Arab Republic of Egypt Bassel Salah Mustafa Ahmed about bilateral cooperation and the strengthening of economic cooperation of the two countries.
The Prime Minister pointed out that the peoples of Serbia and Egypt are bound by decades of friendship and that work to strengthen economic exchange and cooperation in all areas of social life should continue.
Brnabic stated that the overall cooperation was significantly improved in the previous period, which was confirmed by the historic visit of Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi to Serbia last year.
The interlocutors exchanged opinions on a number of areas in which there is significant scope for deepening cooperation, such as industry, agriculture, tourism and culture, and in this sense they emphasised the importance of concluding a free trade agreement.
Salah concluded that the relations between the two countries are traditionally good, friendly and partner-like, and expressed his belief that cooperation in all areas will move on an upward trajectory.
