Minister for European Integration Tanja Miscevic and Deputy Prime Minister for European Affairs of North Macedonia Bojan Maricic signed a Memorandum of Cooperation in the field of European integration in Skopje today.
The ministers assessed that the European perspective of the two countries is attainable as never before and that the political momentum and support of Brussels and the member states should be used to give new dynamics to the negotiations with the European Union.
Miscevic pointed out that the cooperation of the relevant ministries, which deal with the most strategically important matter in two brotherly countries, the process of European integration, is excellent.
We have been cooperating for a very long time and successfully, the Minister pointed out and added that the goal of this document is to find a common approach towards the EU and the member states, when talking about the application of the new methodology.
Maricic stated that a clear plan for the expansion of the Union is expected from the EU, which will be an incentive for accelerating the process of transformation of our societies.
We have shown that we are a credible partner of the EU and that we are ready to respond to tasks. Certainly, now it is the Union's turn to give a time frame for membership that will be achievable and that will give us enough time to complete our tasks, but also enough hope that EU membership will be really fast, he said.
