Culture Ministry to keep supporting domestic publishers at book fairs

The Serbian Ministry of Culture stated it will continue to support domestic publishers when participating in international book fairs, a practice it began last year.
The statement continues that this year, the Ministry intends to offer maximum support for Serbian publishers taking part in international book fairs in Minsk, Paris, Quebec, Moscow, Thessaloniki and Frankfurt, because it is convinced that it is of vital importance for Serbian publishers to present their books abroad.
The Ministry of Culture expects to cover 15% of the total cost of Serbia's international presentation of books and promotion of authors. The Ministry will provide funds through the Association of Publishers and Booksellers, and a total of 85% will be set aside form the budget for these purposes.
