Minister of Construction, Transport and Infrastructure Goran Vesic talked today with Minister of Communication and Traffic of Bosnia and Herzegovina Edin Forto about strengthening traffic connections, first and foremost those by road and rail, which will strengthen relations and contribute to the development of the two states.

Vesic recalled that at this moment three expressways are being built which will connect Serbia and Bosnia and Herzegovina.
He said that the Sremska Raca-Kuzmin road should be completed by the end of this year, Ruma-Sabac-Loznica by the end of 2024, whereas a project has been made for the Pozega-Kotroman road, for which the contract is expected to be signed during next year and works to begin.
The two officials also examined possible joint projects in air and rail traffic, the Minister said and explained that one project has already been defined, with which the two countries will jointly apply for EU funds.
Forto assessed that is of utmost importance to revive and modernise the railway corridor going from Banjaluka through Doboj and Tuzla to Zvornik and onward to Serbia.
