Brnabic expressed her gratitude to the companies for their contribution to the economic life of Serbia, as well as her satisfaction that the government will work with them on this important project.
She pointed out that MK Group and AIK Banka are among the investors that are doing business successfully both in Serbia and in the region, adding that socially responsible business is an aspect without which the country cannot be successful and that she is especially pleased that these companies donate funds in the amount of €200,000 to kindergartens in eight local governments.
This is an example to all other companies of how to work well and how to introduce a socially responsible component of business, which is extremely important, the Prime Minister emphasised.
For kindergartens in our country, for renovating or equipping their spaces, the companies have earmarked the amount of €200,000, with a focus on the municipalities where they operate.
The meeting was also attended by Minister of Education Branko Ruzic, who also expressed his gratitude to the companies for their socially responsible business and the improvement of conditions in preschool institutions.
By cooperating with the government of Serbia and the relevant ministry, donors will receive support in the process of defining the mechanism for the realisation of donations and determining the purpose of funds in accordance with priority needs.
Last year, the project dealt with the improvement of conditions in maternity wards with a focus on babies, pregnant women and women giving birth, while this year the topic is preschool education and development of children aged one to six.
