Brnabic, in the introductory part of the regional conference "Euro-Atlantic integration of the Western Balkans, Perspectives – Western Balkans, Transatlantic Cooperation and Civil Society", pointed out that the GDP would increase by 7% if all the countries of the region joined the "Open Balkans" project.
The dialogue between Belgrade and Pristina is certainly of greatest importance in terms of EU integration, regional cooperation and a stable and peaceful region. At this moment, the agenda must be the Community of Serb Municipalities, she said and stressed that the credibility of the EU rests on its implementation.
The Prime Minister reminded that the first agreement on the normalisation of relations between Belgrade and Pristina was signed in 2013, and that 19 April is the tenth anniversary since the signing of the Brussels Agreement.
According to her, the six points in the Brussels Agreement refer to the Community of Serb Municipalities and the credibility of the EU now depends on the formation of this Community and then we can move on.
As she pointed out, Serbia worked more than ever on reforms in the area of the rule of law and completed the difficult and complex process of adopting constitutional amendments, while the next big thing that awaits us is the full implementation of the media strategy.
As Prime Minister, I deeply believe that all the reforms we are implementing, which are important for our citizens and will ensure that Serbia is a stronger and more stable country in the political, economic and administrative sense, will ultimately lead us to the Union, Brnabic underlined, pointing out that it depends on the member states themselves when we will become a member.
