Speaking at an event at the Palace of Serbia, organised by the National Youth Council of Serbia, Brnabic underlined that the joint projects carried out so far have contributed to youth unemployment being 18.7 percent, which is much better than in the previous period.
Answering questions on the economic position of the youth, the Prime Minister said that both she and the government are working to improve conditions and that one of the things that was done on that matter is the introduction of dual education.
The Prime Minister underlined that the young people who get their education according to the dual model mostly get employed immediately and with much higher wages.
Minister of Labour, Employment, Veteran and Social Affairs Nikola Selakovic said that the laws on student training and youth volunteering will most likely enter the parliamentary procedure by autumn and underlined that it is necessary that local communities keep records on the further education of the youth.
The young people presented to the Prime Minister the problems they are facing and asked for help in solving issues related to the economic and housing independence, assistance in entrepreneurship, safety and health, as well as educational policy.
They stated that it is necessary to continue with this dialogue so that they could highlight in the right way the burning issues that are related to all young people in Serbia.
Representatives of the Association of Youth and for Youth and representatives of institutions also took part in the dialogue with the Prime Minister, together with representatives of the National Youth Council of Serbia.
