Further investment in capital projects necessary to preserve economic growth

Prime Minister Ana Brnabic presided over the session of the Council for the Coordination of Activities and Measures for the Growth of the Gross Domestic Product (GDP), where the results achieved in all areas important for the stability of the domestic economy and sustainable economic growth were analysed.

Special consideration was given to areas that should contribute to the economic growth of Serbia in 2023, such as construction and infrastructure.

In order to preserve sustainable economic growth, the importance of further investment in capital projects in the field of road and railway infrastructure was highlighted.

The Prime Minister assessed that it is necessary to look at the current state of the Serbian economy and react in a timely manner, so that our country can achieve the best possible economic growth in the current year.

When it comes to agricultural production, it was pointed out that all measures have been taken to ensure that subsidies are paid to agricultural producers on time.

The Ministry revised the criteria for participation in the IPARD programme so that a larger number of registered farms could apply for these European funds for agriculture.

As it was concluded, special emphasis will be on finding new markets for the export of domestic products.
