A special topic of the meeting was the upcoming holding of the Serbia-Italy Business Forum, to which the two sides attach great importance.
Brnabic underlined that the bilateral economic cooperation is characterised by a large volume of exchange, which reached a record value in 2022.
The Prime Minister also noted that the upcoming holding of the business forum is important due to the economic and political ties of the two countries, highlighting the areas of information technology, university cooperation and artificial intelligence as particularly important for the further deepening of cooperation with Italy.
Brnabic thanked the Italian Ambassador on the support which this country provides us on the European path of the Republic of Serbia.
Ambassador Gori underlined that Italy pays special attention to the improvement of economic cooperation with the Balkan countries, especially with Serbia.
He also announced that a large number of Italian companies will participate in the Serbia-Italy Business Forum.
Italian companies mainly do business in traditional sectors in Serbia, Gori said and pointed out that the aim of the forum, in addition to strengthening cooperation in these areas, is establishing new areas of connection between the two countries.
