ZSO Statute sole responsibility of Management Team

Prime Minister Ana Brnabic stated today that the Brussels Agreement of 2015 clearly stipulates who is competent for the establishment of the Community of Serb Municipalities (ZSO), and underlined that that is the Management Team, with clearly defined powers and competencies.

Responding to questions of reporters in Pozega, where she visited the Budimka factory and spoke with the beneficiaries of the programme “My First Salary”, Brnabic said that she has not seen the “draft statute” of the Community of Serb Municipalities in Kosovo and Metohija prepared by the Friedrich Ebert Foundation and added that she does not understand why they are dealing with that.

There are no mysteries there, the competencies of the Community of Serb Municipalities are defined, its powers, of which there are 22, and there is also a Management Team, which should deal with the drafting of the ZSO Statute, the Prime Minister pointed out and thanked the Friedrich Ebert Foundation for their help and support which she said she hopes is well-intentioned.

The Management Team was formed as early as 2018 and it started working on the ZSO Statute, for which Pristina was praised in 2018 in the report on the progress from Brussels and the European Commission, Brnabic said and added that we should continue on the path which was defined in 2015 and 2018 and that this work should be done by people designated for that.
