Speaking at a press conference following a government session, Naumov said that the amounts of natural gas entering Serbia are larger than previous days and that there is more than enough heavy fuel oil.
He mentioned, however, that in a situation when Russia has reduced the amounts of gas it exports, there may not be enough gas for all consumers, but sufficient amounts will be provided for priority consumers.
The minister voiced hope that the amount of imported gas will soon increase because the system is currently working with minimal capacities. He added that, when it comes to the oil industry, sufficient amounts of heavy fuel oil have been provided.
Naumov said that more than 150 million kilowatt-hours of electricity was consumed yesterday alone, which is a record amount.
Regarding power cuts in Kosovo-Metohija, the minister said that yesterday Serbia urgently delivered 15 million kilowatt-hours of electricity to the province, which considerably improved the difficult situation of Kosovo-Metohija citizens.
Naumov recalled that Serbia planned to deliver electricity to the Serb enclaves in Kosovo-Metohija, but the Kosovo Energy Corporation refused it. He announced the creation of a new plan for resolving the energy situation in the province.
Naumov also said that, at today's session, the Serbian government declared 2006 Nikola Tesla Year. He pointed out that nearly 200 people have been engaged in
marking the 150th anniversary of Tesla's birth and recalled that the committee for marking this jubilee is led by Serbian Prime Minister Vojislav Kostunica.
Naumov announced that Tesla's birthday will be observed on July 10 at the Sava Centre in Belgrade, while a large expert gathering will be held in October at the Serbian Academy of Science and Arts.
