Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defence Milos Vucevic stated today that he informed President of the Republic of Serbia Aleksandar Vucic and Prime Minister Ana Brnabic that the Commission for implementation of the Kumanovo Military Technical Agreement delivered a written request to KFOR for the return of Serbian security forces to Kosovo and Metohija.

During a tour of the River Flotilla in Novi Sad, Vucevic underlined that members of the Serbian Army delivered shortly before 11 am a request to KFOR for the return of up to 1,000 members of the Serbian Army and police to the province.
He added that last night, around 1 am, the Serbian Army sent an e-mail to the KFOR Office with the decision of the Serbian government, requests and additional documentation attached.
In this way, we have launched formally, legally and technically the procedure in line with UN Security Council Resolution 1244 and the Kumanovo Military Technical Agreement to use what is defined by international public law, what no one can deny to Serbia in the context of protection of our national and state interests and protection of our people in the territory of the province of Kosovo and Metohija, Vucevic stated.
