At the conference on the occasion of the presentation of the results of the American Chamber of Commerce's (AmCham) annual survey on the business climate and investor confidence "Tenth Fleeting Time", Brnabic stated that the government will thus be available for citizens and the economy 24 hours a day, every day of the year.
The Prime Minister emphasised that we should make an effort to open the highest quality and highest paying jobs in order to raise the quality of life in Serbia.
She pointed out that last year the highest volume of trade with the United States was worth $996.3 million, and that in the first eight months of this year, the total trade in goods amounted to $854.6 million, which is 45 percent more than in the same period of 2021.
This means that the total exchange will exceed one billion dollars this year, she added.
Branbic noted that in the first 11 months of this year, the inflow of foreign direct investments amounted to €3.9 billion, which is eight percent more than in 2021, which was the best year so far, and added that this year that amount will exceed €4 billion.
US Ambassador to Serbia Christopher Hill said that the country is committed to making Serbia economically successful, and that it is no coincidence that it has a strong chamber of commerce in Serbia.
America believes in doing business in Serbia and we will continue to be committed to its success, Hill said.
The AmCham presented today its new survey on investor confidence, which shows that the business climate in Serbia is rated better than last year and moderately satisfactory.
Representatives of large and medium-sized companies, which generally employ more than 100 workers, participated in this research.
Minister of Information and Telecommunications Mihailo Jovanovic, Minister Internal and Foreign Trade Tomislav Momirovic and Minister of Mining and Energy Dubravka Djedovic were also present at the event.
