Dacic, at the opening of the 60th session of the General Assembly of the Parliamentary Assembly of this organisation, emphasised that the armed conflict in Ukraine has caused tectonic changes in the security structure and that the importance of unity and cooperation is gaining a new dimension.
He stated that the topics that connect the member countries of the organisation are: economic issues, the development of democracy, the rule of law, the fight against organised crime and terrorism in the region, environmental protection, cooperation in the fields of culture, education, as well as cooperation with civil society and other European and international communities.
The First Deputy Prime Minister pointed out that Serbia can boast of excellent results in the digitalisation of public administration and education and that it is ready to share its experiences with interested parties.
Dacic said that this meeting will deal with whether Serbia will preside over the Assembly of that organisation for the next six months, explaining that the topic is being raised because there are certain problems in its functioning.
Serbia is available to help overcome the problems in the functioning of this organisation and to find a common interest even on topics where we are opposed, the First Deputy Prime Minister said.
