Yandex announces opening development centre in Serbia

Belgrade, 19 November 2022

Prime Minister Ana Brnabic spoke today with a delegation of the global IT company Yandex, led by Head of the Department for International Policy Maxim Kozlov.

Representatives of Yandex announced the opening of the company's development centre in Serbia, which will employ more than 800 engineers who will work on the most modern IT solutions.

At the meeting, it was agreed to continue discussions and improve cooperation in the field of education, considering that this company, in addition to creating software, additionally works in the field of IT education.

Brnabic stated that the government is open to cooperation and is ready to provide help and support to global IT companies that open research centres in our country and employ IT experts from all over the world.

After the opening of the development centre and representative office of the global company Luxoft, the announcement of the opening of Yandex’s development centre and the employment of international IT experts is a strong support for our economic growth and the creation of additional value, the Prime Minister underlined.
