Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defence Milos Vucevic expressed today, during a meeting with Ambassador of Italy to Serbia Luca Gori, his satisfaction with the excellent bilateral relations that have reached the level of strategic partnership, which laid the foundations of good political relations and intensive dialogue.

Vucevic expressed his gratitude to Italy for the long-term and significant participation of members of its armed forces in the KFOR mission, and especially for their involvement in the protection of the Serbian population and the Serbian cultural and religious heritage in Kosovo and Metohija.
The Deputy Prime Minister also positively assessed the activities and communication of the Chief of the General Staff of the Serbian Armed Forces with the KFOR Commander.
Emphasising that Serbia remains firmly committed to peace, stability and the preservation of dialogue with Pristina, he indicated deep concern for the development of the situation in the southern Serbian province.
Gori pointed to the continued dialogue between the two countries at a high level, as well as the Italian side's interest in deepening bilateral military cooperation.
