During the meeting, held on the margins of the ministerial meeting of the Central European Initiative (CEI), the two ministers spoke about the importance of strengthening regional cooperation through initiatives such as this one, and they agreed that economic cooperation is a good path to the overall progress of the region.
Dacic and Szijjarto also discussed the increasingly intensive cooperation in the field of energy and the realisation of infrastructural projects.
Dacic expressed satisfaction over regular contacts between the two states and pointed out that Serbia remains committed to the development of good neighbourly relations with the surrounding countries.
He thanked Hungary once more on the support it gives Serbia in the process of European integration, and he also informed Szijjarto about the current situation in Kosovo and Metohija and the position of our people in the southern Serbian province.
Dacic also met with Bulgarian Minister of Foreign Affairs Nikolay Milkov and on that occasion pointed out that our country attaches special importance to the development of bilateral relations with the neighbouring and friendly Bulgaria.
He assessed that the relations between the two countries are very good and stable, and that over the past few years they have been improved through joint efforts, the proof of which is intensive political dialogue at high and the highest level.
Milkov reiterated that Bulgaria will continue to support Serbia in the process of European integration.
Dacic and Milkov also discussed the improvement of economic and energy cooperation, and the realisation of joint infrastructure projects, such as gas interconnection, which is important for supplying the entire region with gas.
