Brnabic pointed out that the cooperation with the French Development Agency is extremely important, above all in the areas of energy transition and improvement of energy security and independence, as well as the implementation of the Green Agenda, which she assessed as projects for the future and a strategic goal of the future government.
The improvement of energy efficiency and the efforts we undertake will determine the direction of the development of the energy sector in the coming decades, she stated and explained that the goal is to achieve security in the gas sector at the same time, through the interconnection project with Bulgaria, which is one of the most important projects that Serbia is implementing with the European Union.
The Director of the French Development Agency pointed out that, thanks to the joint initiative, cooperation and commitment, significant results were achieved in the implementation of climate policy and the creation of an institutional environment for the development of the Green Agenda and reaching EU standards in the course of a few years.
He stated that AFD is committed to continuing and expanding cooperation with Serbia in other important areas, such as energy transition, through technical and expert support.
Brnabic expressed her belief that cooperation will continue on projects related to investment in railway infrastructure, which Serbia is implementing with this French agency.
She also pointed out that French companies are significantly present on our market, and expressed her belief that in the future there will be even more joint projects in the fields of innovation, biotechnology and artificial intelligence.
