Financial compensation for participants in "My First Salary" programme increased

The Serbian government adopted today the amended Regulation on the youth employment incentive programme "My First Salary", which increases the amount of financial compensation for the unemployed youth who will be included in this programme based on a new public call.

For young people with secondary education, the amount is increased from RSD 22,000 to RSD 25,000 per month, and for young people with higher education from RSD 26,000 to RSD 30,000 per month.

A new public call will be announced by the National Employment Service on Monday, 22 August, and all information will be available on the websites www.nsz.gov.rs and www.mojaprvaplata.gov.rs.

So far, two cycles of the programme have been implemented, involving approximately 18,000 young people. The goal of the programme is to train 10,000 young people for independent work with secondary and higher education, up to the age of 30, without work experience, who are on the unemployment register of the National Employment Service.

The government adopted the amended Decision on the temporary ban on the export of Euro diesel EN 590, which extends the ban for another seven days. Adopting this measure will prevent possible damage to the economy and citizens, given that the energy crisis on the world market continues to cause a threat of a critical shortage of this essential commodity for the citizens of Serbia.

The government passed the Decision on awarding a national sports award to Ivana Nisevic, given that she won a silver medal at the World Championship in Olympic sport - handball, held in Belgrade in 2013.

The same decision was made for handball player Ivan Stankovic for winning a silver medal at the European Championship in this Olympic sport in Belgrade in 2012.
