Brnabic, who is also the president of the Council, highlighted several points that will be of great importance in the coming period, including the completion of the Action Plan, which she hopes will be the result of joint work of representatives of all national councils of national minorities.
According to the Prime Minister, the promotion of human and minority rights and zero tolerance of discrimination of any kind remain the main goals that Serbia is striving for.
When it comes to the Budget Fund for National Minorities, it amounts to RSD 30 million for this year as well, and the priority area is culture.
The aim of the competition will be to improve and strengthen the cultural and linguistic identity of national minorities in the Republic of Serbia.
Minister Gordana Comic, who is also the Deputy President of the Council, said that the Ministry of Human and Minority Rights and Social Dialogue, as a tool for national councils, will have consultations with all competent bodies regarding the Coordination proposal.
Comic added that the Ministry is committed to solving all problems of national minorities through dialogues and strengthening mutual trust in the spirit of tolerance, which will contribute to the development of society as a whole.
In addition to representatives of national councils of national minorities, the session in the Government of Serbia was attended by representatives of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ministry of Justice, Ministry of State Administration and Local Self-Government, Ministry of Culture and Information, Ministry of Education, Science and Technological Development and the Directorate for Cooperation with Churches and Religious Communities.
