Slobodan Vuksanovic
Speaking at a conference with the theme "The Bologna Declaration in Serbia – from Bergen to London" Vuksanovic expressed conviction that faculties in the Republic will successfully implement the decrees of the newly adopted law, and added that in the upcoming period a new national council will be formed as well as an accreditation commission, while existing bodies will work conclusively till March 10 of the next year.
He said that in the first round of the Serbian government’s action for the voluntary termination of work relations of employees in the education department with attractive severance packages nearly 7000 persons have responded, most of them being near the pension age.
Vuksanovic appealed to school directors to show solidarity and help their colleagues who voluntarily wish to terminate work relations and recalled that candidates who have applied will be able to do so with attractive severance packages as long as their departure does not disrupt the education process.
He did not exclude the possibility that after the conclusion of the first round of the action, by the end of the second half-year term, the second round will be announced in which education workers will be able to apply for voluntary termination of work relations.
In the work of the conference “The Bologna Declaration in Serbia-from Bergen to London” representatives of rector’s conferences from Germany, Austria, the Czech Republic, France and Slovakia are taking part.
