Prime Minister Ana Brnabic and Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defence Nebojsa Stefanovic delivered in Nis today keys to 152 apartments to active and retired members of the Serbian Armed Forces and the Ministry of Defence.
Brnabic expressed her gratitude to the members of the defence system and their families for everything they do, as well as for the fact that they love and protect our country.
The Prime Minister announced that at the end of June, another 190 apartments from the state housing project will be allocated to members of security services, and that phase 1B will soon start soon, which means an additional 1,188 apartments for security services members.
What we have done so far is not enough for you to have the life you deserve. We still have a lot to do, to raise the standard of living, salaries and to give you a roof over your head, said Brnabic.
Stefanovic expressed satisfaction with the fact that 152 families of members of the Serbian Armed Forces and the Ministry of Defence will solve their housing issue, adding that this is a way for the state to thank them for everything they have done for Serbia.
The Deputy Prime Minister recalled that the housing issue for more than 1,400 members of the Serbian Army and the Ministry of Defence was successfully resolved last year through various models that were available.
He expressed gratitude to the Prime Minister for all the activities undertaken in the last few years with the City of Nis, which enabled this project to be completed and that roads and infrastructure facilities be built here in the coming period, in addition to residential buildings.
Stefanovic underlined that we can proudly say that our soldiers are better equipped today, that they have a better standard and better salaries, but the state will work on improving all this in the coming period even more.
