Prime Minister Ana Brnabic attended today in Novi Sad the signing of the Commercial Agreement on the design and construction of a bypass around that city, with a bridge over the Danube.
The agreement was signed by Minister of Construction, Transport and Infrastructure Tomislav Momirovic, Acting General Director of "Corridors of Serbia" Aleksandar Antic and Vice President of "China Road and Bridge Corporation" Zhang Xiaoyuan.
On that occasion, Brnabic expressed her satisfaction with the signing of the agreement, because it shows the best how much we have changed, but much more needs to be completed.
She pointed out that the infrastructural backbone of Serbia can be seen today, and how Serbia will be connected by highways, fast roads and railways in the coming period.
This large and important project is part of that infrastructural connection and the backbone of the future development of Serbia. At the moment, we are building ten highways, and another 650 kilometres of roads are waiting for us, she stated.
Minister-Counsellor of the Embassy of the People's Republic of China in Serbia Tian Yishu expressed his gratitude to the government of Serbia and the City of Novi Sad for actively improving cooperation between China and Serbia and for the trust shown in Chinese companies.
Mayor of Novi Sad Milos Vucevic also addressed those present and underlined that the state is financing this project with €175.5 million.
