Brnabic underlined that cooperation with Airbus opens great potential to us and added that this is the Europe to which Serbia aspires – a Europe of cooperation, progress and peace.
The Prime Minister said that European cooperation through economic association is the only possible way to overcome the accumulated problems.
Brnabic pointed out that the Training Centre of the national Aviation Academy combines secondary and higher dual education, as well as the possibility of development of informal education in line with the highest aviation standards.
She underlined that this centre will be among the three largest aviation training centres in Europe in terms of its capacity and it will provide training for personnel for the needs of the domestic and foreign companies and the Serbian army and police.
Brnabic highlighted that this project is of strategic importance for both our aviation industry and Serbia’s positioning, not only in Europe, but also worldwide, as a power in the training of pilots, aviation mechanics and technicians, but also in terms of dual education.
The Prime Minister visited the Training Centre of the Aviation Academy together with Minister of the Interior Aleksandar Vulin, Minister of Construction, Transport and Infrastructure Tomislav Momirovic and Prime Minister of the Provincial Government Igor Mirovic.
After visiting the flight simulator for pilot training and the control tower, where the project of reconstruction of this educational institution is exhibited, the guests attended a flight programme, after which the signing of the Memorandum followed.
The document was signed by Airbus Vice President for Southern Europe and Israel Cesar Sanchez Lopez, Assistant Minister of Education for Dual Education Gabrijela Grujic and Director of Aviation Academy Goran Cvijovic.
The Memorandum envisages technological linking with Airbus in terms of equipment of the Training Centre and joint realisation of training, i.e. reaching the necessary standards in order to realise together with Airbus the training of mechanics and pilots for the types of helicopters produced by this company.
