Speaking at a press conference held at the Tanjug’s press centre, Matic said that as the process of privatisation of Serbian companies draws to an end, the investments projects turn more and more into “greenfield” or “brownfield” projects, i.e. the purchase of land for construction of new factories and plants, or of land with existing infrastructure.
According to Matic, this database will allow potential investors to access all information connected with the investment locations remotely, on the Internet.
Matic said that maps contain photographs of the locations, basic information concerning the municipality it is in, as well as the educational structure of the work force of that municipality.
The investment location electronic database project has been realised in cooperation with the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) and the Permanent Conference of Cities and Municipalities.
