Prime Minister Ana Brnabic met today with citizens who recently expressed dissatisfaction with the expropriation procedure for the construction of the Milos the Great highway and the Morava Corridor, as well as the Morava Airport in Kraljevo.
Brnabic pointed out that the doors of the government of Serbia are always open for all citizens and that during the recent opening of the section of the Milos the Great highway to the village of Pakovrace, she was not familiar with the details of the problems of citizens she met with today.
Both sides agreed that the most important thing is to establish a dialogue and that this is the best way to resolve all outstanding issues.
The government of Serbia has an unequivocal intention that all citizens whose property is the subject of expropriation, be adequately compensated.
The government is also firmly committed to fully respecting court decisions regarding the amount of compensation for land or facilities subject to expropriation. The citizens who attended the meeting also agree with this position. The government, as well as the city of Cacak, or any municipality, can in no way influence the decisions of the court and the course of the cases themselves.
It was agreed to repeat the meeting, in the same format, within a month, in order to see possible progress in resolving all issues that were the subject of the meeting, with emphasis on improving communication between certain institutions and citizens, which also refers to the procedure of preparation and adoption of a spatial plan for Morava Airport.
In that way, a complete insight of the citizens and all interested parties will be achieved in the course of expropriation procedures, construction plans, development of the spatial plan as well as its adoption.
The government of Serbia once again assures all citizens that all their property, which could potentially be the subject of expropriation, will be purchased at a price determined in accordance with existing regulations or at a price determined by the competent court.
Serbia will continue to develop its infrastructure, but never to the detriment of citizens, their property or the preservation of the environment.
