Prime Minister Ana Brnabic chaired today a joint session of the Council for Coordination of Activities and Measures for GDP Growth and the Capital Investment Commission, which dealt with the results achieved in 2021 in industries that affect the GDP and plans for the upcoming year.

Very successful year of economic recovery

The participants in the meeting agreed that this year is ending as a very successful year of recovery in relation to the previous one which was marked by the pandemic, but that attention should nonetheless be paid to the challenges that are ahead of us, and that is first and foremost energy supply, bearing in mind the complex situation in Europe.
The fact that Serbia cannot entirely influence the overflow of import inflation from the surrounding countries should not be neglected.
Brnabic underlined that it is necessary to focus on the first quarter of next year and on the planning of capital projects worth over €5 million.
When it comes to inflation, a mild increase is expected at the beginning of next year, but also a return to the planned level in the course the year, it was emphasised at the session.
The ministers, members of the Council for Coordination of Activities and Measures for GDP Growth, submitted a report on the projects implemented and plans for next year.
