Brnabic stated that she will remember year 2021 by the fact that Serbia did the greatest job in the field of the rule of law and expressed gratitude to the EU for awarding all the efforts which Serbia has invested in the process of European integration.
She added that the government she is heading also worked hard, that they went into great detail with reforms and that concrete results were achieved.
This is a huge motivation for us, a great incentive to continue working with even greater zeal in order to achieve even more results in 2022 and open more clusters and chapters, the Prime Minister stated.
Head of the EU Delegation to Serbia Emanuele Giaufret said that after the opening of cluster 4, the EU is awaiting with joy the further progress of Serbia in reforms, especially in the field of the judiciary and added that the upcoming referendum scheduled for 16 January will additionally pave the way for the judiciary reform.
Giaufret pointed out that the changes could make the judicial system independent and more efficient, saying that the citizens and the business sector would benefit from it, especially in the field of attracting investments.
We love Serbia, we want it to become part of our family. We are aware of its beauty, strengths and potential to work together in order to face challenges and dangers, the EU Ambassador stated.
He underlined that the EU and Serbia want to work together on solutions that will bring prosperity to future generations.
Joksimovic expressed her gratitude to the new negotiating coordination structure and the Prime Minister's team, as well as to the associates and coordinators of the clusters from all ministries.
