Prime Minister Ana Brnabic met today with representatives of one of the leading global pharmaceutical companies Merck Sharp and Dohme (MSD).
Brnabic and representatives of MSD highlighted their readiness for cooperation, which will focus on the promotion of immunisation, control of malignant diseases and support to digitalisation of health care.
A special emphasis during the meeting was on cooperation in the control and diagnostic of malignant diseases and the readiness of representatives of MSD to back initiatives of the Serbian government.
Brnabic presented to her interlocutors the project of construction of BioCampus, which will be one of the leading science and research centres in Europe.
MSD President for Europe and Canada Syrill Shiver expressed satisfaction with the preparedness demonstrated by our country and the health system in the fight against the COVID-19 pandemic.
According to him, Serbia was one of the first countries in Europe that managed to provide to its citizens both vaccines and the state-of-the-art innovative therapies for treating infection SАRS-CОV-2.
The meeting in the Serbian government was also attended by Minister of Health Zlatibor Loncar.
