Prime Minister Ana Brnabic visited the Ovcar-Kablar gorge today, in which projects worth RSD 185 million are being carried out in 2021, while RSD 500 million will be invested next year for this landscape of outstanding features.
During the tour of the newly built amphitheatre and works on the square and the Natural History Museum in Ovcar Banja, Brnabic explained that the realized projects are the result of joint work of different ministries, public companies, local self-government and all institutions within local self-government.
She stated that the amphitheatre in Ovcar Banja has been completed, the port on Lake Medjuvrsje has been arranged, as well as the Ovcar Banja Railway Station on the Pozega-Cacak-Kraljevo-Stalac line, the access road to Kablar, while the Natural History Museum and parking lot are expected to be completed by the end of the year.
In 2022, we plan to allocate RSD 500 million for the continuation of projects, the Prime Minister repeated and emphasized that the capital investment is certainly the construction of the RH centre in Banja and the siltation of Lake Medjuvrsje, for which €40 million are planned.
According to her, this project will last for two or three years and is extremely important for the protection of the environment.
Also, it is planned to build a water supply and sewerage system, a glass lookout on Kablar, which will be the first and only of its kind in the Republic of Serbia, as well as a complete road to Kablar, Brnabic specified.
She reminded that a similar interdepartmental working group was formed for the south of Serbia – for Kursumlija, Lebane, Medvedja and Leskovac, in order to return that area of exceptional features to the tourist map of Serbia.
The Prime Minister emphasized that the construction of the highway to Pozega and the revitalisation of the Ovcar-Kablar gorge is actually a unique project, which was planned in parallel because this gorge is a landscape of exceptional features and natural wealth of the first order of Serbia.
