Speaking at a press conference held at the Serbian Ministry of Interior, Razafindranali said the aim of the three-day seminar being held in Belgrade is “prevention of the risk of bad functioning” and the framework will be the sharing of experiences with the staff of the Inspectorate General of the Serbian Ministry of Interior and students of the Police Academy and the Higher School of Internal Affairs.
Razafindranali said that the aims of the seminar are also improvement of the administrative work of the department and its resources in order to maximize the performance of the staff of the Inspectorate General, and expressed satisfaction at the questions asked of him by the staff of the Inspectorate General and students of the police school.
He said that among the topics discussed at the seminar was disciplinary investigation, which is directly related to the members of the police, the estimation of the work of the police as well as qualitative investigations that are based on the experience and activities of the French department.
Inspector General of the Serbian Ministry of Interior Vladimir Bozovic said that the holding of the seminar presents the continuation of the successful cooperation between the Serbian and French departments of the Inspectorate General, which has a tradition of dealing with the affairs of interior control going back over 150 years.
Bozovic recalled that the experience of the French and their knowledge is not only important for the Serbian Inspectorate in order to bring in and begin to accept international experience in that area, but also in the continuation of the process of reforms.
He said that the visit of Razafindranali to Belgrade represents the continuation of cooperation between Serbian and French departments of Inspectorate General that began in December last year, adding that the officials of the French embassy in Belgrade also play an important role in the cooperation.
He said that the novelties in the Law on police connected to the work of the department of the Inspectorate General are positive and added that it is important to create awareness in the executing authorities, representatives of the police and citizens about the necessity of the work of this institution for protecting human rights.
