Minister of Construction, Transport and Infrastructure Tomislav Momirovic participated today in the Conference on Transport within the session of the Permanent Secretariat of the Transport Community in Montenegro.
At the conference, which is attended by ministers and high representatives of the Central European Initiative (CEI) and representatives of the Permanent Secretariat of the Transport Community, Momirovic pointed out that Serbia is the only party to the Transport Community that has fully implemented activities from the Traffic Safety Action Plan.
Despite the significant steps that Serbia has made in terms of traffic safety, and according to the Transport Community, our country is the most proactive of all countries in the region, and next year we want to focus on the safety of children in traffic, said the Minister.
He emphasised that the Serbian government and the Ministry of Construction, Transport and Infrastructure are making great efforts to improve the quality and safety of the transport network in order to integrate into the Trans-European transport network, while effectively using the advantages of all modes of transport.
Momirovic pointed out that the construction of road and railway infrastructure are key to further strengthening the economies and competitiveness of the entire region.
