Prime Minister Ana Brnabic chaired today a joint session of the Council for Coordination of Activities and Measures for GDP Growth and the Capital Investment Committee, at which economic indicators in the industries affecting GDP growth were examined, as well as economic challenges in the coming period, first and foremost disturbances on the electricity and natural gas markets.

Working group for monitoring changes in energy prices to be set up soon

The participants in the session examined potential effects which the growth in the price of energy products could have on the economy and industry, and on the final prices of certain consumer goods, given that the supply of electricity to the entire population and small businesses is guaranteed.
Brnabic announced that a working group will be set up in order to monitor changes in energy prices on the market, identify possible effects of these changes on end users and companies, and to propose measures to the Serbian government for mitigating the situation in which the Serbian economy could end up.
The participants in the session said that 74 new capital projects are currently being prepared, whereas 81 are in the implementation stage.
This is the result of work of the entire government and all ministries.
