Andrea Bocelli holds Belgrade concert

One of the most well-known contemporary tenors Andrea Bocelli held a concert last night at the “Arena” in Belgrade in front of an audience of more than 15,000.

He began the concert with an overture from Georges Bizet’s “Carmen”, followed by a number of arias for tenor by Rudier Leoncavallo, Francesco Paulo Tosti, Scharl Gounod, Giacomo Rossini, Giuseppe Verdi, Franz Schubert, Antonio Vivaldi and Di Capua and Bocelli performed one of the arias with a choir of children “Kolibri”.
During the concert, Bocelli addressed the public, thanking them for their hospitality and extraordinarily warm welcome, noting that he is leaving Belgrade with the best of memories.
Bocelli performed with the Belgrade Philharmonic Orchestra, conducted by Marcelo Rota, with soprano Ana Maria Del Oeste making a guest appearance at the concert.
The organiser of the concert at the “Arena” is the company Balkan International Distribution Council, supported by the Serbian Ministry of Culture and the Belgrade municipal assembly.
During the concert, Bocelli addressed the public, thanking them for their hospitality and extraordinarily warm welcome, noting that he is leaving Belgrade with the best of memories.
