Minister of Foreign Affairs Nikola Selakovic met today with President of the Congress of the Republic of Guatemala Allan Estuardo Rodriguez and stated that Serbia is committed to strengthening political dialogue and the overall cooperation with this friendly country.

Selakovic said that Serbia and Guatemala, despite a large geographical distance, share the same values and fight for them, and added that it is important that the two states and two peoples, which cherish such a friendship, maintain the same level of bilateral visits.
Serbia highly appreciates Guatemala’s consistent stance regarding Kosovo and Metohija and its non-recognition of the unilaterally proclaimed independence of the so-called Kosovo, the Minister underlined and expressed gratitude to that country for its commitment to respecting international law.
Rodriguez underlined that the support of friendly Guatemala on this issue will continue.
